Home for the Holidays

A couple days after arriving in La Habra (Chris' hometown), we decided to go sledding. Of course there wasn't any snow in California but it was raining non-stop for a few weeks. On with the wetsuits and boogie boards to a very muddy and grassy park. We started with using the boards but after a while we tried just using our bums. We had a blast!

After only a few short days with the Hendrickson family, we were on our way to the  Long Beach airport to get to Salt Lake. The plane ride was only an hour and a half but seemed like forever! Chris and I knew we were close as soon as we saw snow. We finally landed in Utah and I think I ran the whole way down to the baggage claim to find my family. As soon as I saw them, I dropped my bags and ran; I was overcome with so many emotions. Happiness, sadness, love. They are all so tall. I think my mom and I are now the shortest in the family. I'm pretty sure Becca (my twelve year old sister) is beating me now. :) It was a very happy moment.

While in Utah, my parents took us out to eat a lot. :) :) It was amazing. Chris and I ate so much. I told my mom we weren't use to all of it. One night they took us to The Chuck (Chuck-A-Rama) and that's where these pictures came from.

I had been asking Chris for a while to just give me a normal smile and since he's a boy... it didn't happen and it was driving me crazy! So the first picture is what he had been doing all night and the second is me annoyed.

One night Chris and I had wanted to make a snowman in the middle of the night.. so we did. it was the biggest snowman I have seen.

I had a blast over Christmas break and I miss my family so much! I can't wait until we get to see them again.
