Meet Sarah

Hello!

I'm Sarah, a daughter to Dave and Sharie, a sister to Amanda, Jeff and Becca, a wife to Chris and a mommy to Owen, angel baby Conor and soon to be baby number three. I'm the oldest of four kids, including myself. I have a younger sister who is a full time nanny while going to school (ya, crazy), my only brother is half way through his mission in Paraguay and loving it, and my youngest sister is a Sophmore volleyball star for her High School.

I grew up all over the Western United States (OR, CA, UT, NV, and ID) but we stayed the longest in a little town about an hour from Las Vegas, NV, called Mesquite. You've probably driven through it or even stopped for a pee break. And believe or not I loved it. I played softball, volleyball and swam (for a season) before my shoulder gave out Senior year. I graduated high school there and only three months after married my husband Chris.

Our story is pretty crazy, you can check that out here. We have been married for almost five years in August. Right after we were married we moved to Hawaii so Chris could finish school. We lived there for almost two years and no, I did not love it, until I left. We left In December and transferred to BYU-Idaho and we get "What the H were you thinking??" a lot. We absolutely hated it. So we stayed for four months, came to Utah, where my family moved and in the summer of 2012 we welcomed our first baby Owen. We moved back up there and still hated it and decided it wasn't worth it to stick it out for a Exercise Science degree so Chris ended up with a University Studies degree from BYU- Hawaii. I know, confusing.

We moved back to Utah and have been here since. We now live in Orem where Chris is the Deputy Fire Marshall for Utah County. The title sounds so much cooler than the actual job. He went through the Fire Academy at UVU last year and was just offered a firefighting job for Salt Lake City Fire Department that we ended up turning down.. you can read why here.

In November of 2013 we decided to try for another baby. And if you know me at all you know this was the scariest thought I had ever had. A few months in and it wasn't sticking. I was getting pretty frustrated because when we decided to try for Owen, I was pregnant that month. I later found that I needed a knee surgery and if I were pregnant that wouldn't have happened. I recovered and in April we finally got pregnant with our second. We were so excited! Only four short months later on July 28, 2014, at 19 weeks, my body went into preterm labor and I delivered our sweet baby Conor. I have a few more detailed posts about him that you can read hereherehere and here. It has been by far the most difficult experience Chris and I have ever been through. And ironically enough, by far the most sacred experience we have ever been through.

On June 5, I was life flighted to the University of Utah hospital and Charlotte was born via emergency c-section. She lived a beautiful 9 hours and 29 minutes and there isn't a second that goes by that we don't completely long and ache for our little girl.
