silly boy

last night chris and i were lying in bed trying to fall asleep.

then he started humming twinkle twinkle little star. 

oh how i love my silly boy. 

retainer

remember that embarrassing retainer the orthodontist gave you? remember how he told you to wear it every night? well.. i kinda havent been doing that. like, for the past few years.

so he put, not one but two PERMANENT retainers in. one on top and one on bottom. 

he said they are suppose to last forever. well..mine didnt. 

it was put in behind the my four front teeth and now only half of it still exists. 

thanks to chris playing dentist with a pair of pliers.

i think i have talked about the little geckos here. they are so so cute and also everywhere!

but we love them because they eat the roaches. 

chris and i have only seen two or three roaches in our place so far. i think its because we have lots of geckos. 

we found a couple a few days ago and just had to take pictures. 

i love their little feet. i tell chris these are my "babies" for now. since the real babies aren't coming any time soon. 

the point

sunday is great. usually we go on walks or play games and have pot lucks. 

but this sunday was the best. we went to "the point". 

a place to see a beauitul view.

beautiful huh? and then there is us. not so beautiful, just weird.

oh how i love my man and the ocean.

the other day chris got an email from the school saying they are going to turn the power off from 8am to 7pm. 

as you can imagine how thrilled we were for this.. we decided to get out the house. so we gathered our snacks, towels and friends. we headed towards the east side of the island to a place named "belllows". ive heard many great things about this beach, beautiful white sand and clear blue ocean. (i know youre thinking.. isnt that all of hawaii?) haha not all the time. this place is special. 

so about an hour later we arrived to this amazing piece of land. 

we had so much fun out in the sun. thanks rogers and riebens! we love you. 

sometimes.

sometimes people disagree. sometimes there are hurt feelings and just sometimes..

 people dont know how grow up. 

ive learned a few things with dealing with people and their personalities. 

its been a struggle for me to remain in the thinking of "what would jesus do?" 

when someone is so mean and hurtful. 

but there are some lessons learned of what to do and what not to do. 

number one: always treat them with kindness, even if you go home crying or in my case, cursing. 

my momma always said "kill them with kindness"

and it works. 

number two: dont call names.

first, it just makes yourself sound dumb and

second, were not in kindergarten anymore. 

number three: really try to understand where they are coming from. 

it can help to end the disagreement well. 

number four: instead of getting mad and yelling at them,

 ive learned it best to hear them out.
  

and

number five: keep your cool. everything is better when you stay calm.

sometimes there are just going to be people we meet that haven't grown up.
sometimes we will meet people who say mean things.
and every time.. we need to be the bigger person.

by the way this post was meant to be put up a while ago. just never did.
im not mad. im not angry. im not upset.
just posting something.

happy birthday to me

today is my birthday!

officially nineteen. yay!

so far its been great. i feel better, healthier and happier.

taking one day at a time. 

thank you again to all who have helped me get through this rough time. 

 especially to my wonderful man. i love you. 

i woke up this morning to strawberry crepes for breakfast. yum!

so with all the decisions we have to make, we have taken the day off. (thanks for the advise momma)

i think we all need to take a day off every once in a while. 

sometimes theres just too much to handle and we need a time out. 

so we are taking one.

and going out to dinner. :)
